What is Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

Unimoni Multi Currency Card is a prepaid, reloadable, travel forex card that facilitates easy, cost-effective travel, seamless payments for ATM, Purchase & Ecom transactions for the people that travel abroad from India. In addition to getting best deals in foreign currency exchange, our travel card enables you to save money by locking ideal exchange rates for later use. Our multipurpose travel card can be used at all MasterCard accepting merchant locations that include shops, ATMs, restaurants, hotels, online stores etc.

What are the key currencies available in Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

You can load up to 10 currencies in your Unimoni Multi Currency Card.  And, You can activate 6 currency wallets from a choice of 10 currencies that you have loaded, and transact using those 6 active currencies. Following are the list of currencies that we offer:

What is Currency Priority?

The order in which funds from currency wallets are taken/utilized is called Currency Priority.

We let you set your own Currency Priority.  You can change, activate or deactivate your currency priorities in real-time by visiting our self-care portal or by calling our Customer Care Team at +91-484 4367888.

How can I load funds on the Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

You can load funds to your Unimoni Multi Currency Card by visiting any of the nearest Unimoni branch.

What is a Dynamic Currency Conversion payment?

In certain countries, the acquiring banks may choose to activate the feature of “Dynamic Currency Conversion” on their ATMs and POS machine network.  As per this facility, the ATM / POS machine identifies the Unimoni Multi Currency Card as a card issued from a foreign country and prompts the customer to transact in their “home currency” (in the case of Indians, this would be INR).  If a customer selects the “home currency/ INR” option, the transaction will be blocked.  Dynamic Currency Conversion in INR is not permitted in the Unimoni Multi Currency Card.

Can I use the card in any currency apart from the bouquet of 10 currencies offered?

You can use your Unimoni Multi Currency Card to transact in any foreign currency of your choice. However, there will be a currency conversion fee charged for that particular transaction.

How do I obtain Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

Visit any of our conveniently located 350 plus Unimoni branches in India, to purchase our multicurrency travel card.  The card will be activated upon completion of the necessary registration and KYC procedures.

What is the eligibility criteria for obtaining the Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

You need to be a resident of India with a valid passport ID and relevant travel documents (airline ticket, hotel booking confirmation, college admission details (in case of students).


How can I change the PIN of the Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

You can change the PIN by calling our Customer Care Team at +91 484 4367888.

How can I raise any issue, dispute or card related complaints?

In case of any issue or dispute, you must report the disputed transactions by calling our Customer Care Team at +91-484 4367888 within 30 days (Thirty days) of the transaction in question, failing which it would be understood that all transactions are in order and acceptable to the customer. We will require proofs for the purchase or transaction or amount withdrawn, and a written summary of relevant information.

What should I do when unauthorized (fraudulent) transaction happens on my Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

Unauthorized transactions (for which customer may be liable) can occur if the card is lost or stolen or if your card PIN or other details are revealed to any other person. It is your responsibility to inform us about such incidents immediately by calling our Customer Care Team +91 484 4367888.

How can I block/unblock the card?

How can I transfer funds from one wallet to another?

You can simply transfer funds from one currency wallet to another on real-time basis through the online portal or by calling our Customer Care Team at +91 484 4367888

What are the possible reasons for transaction decline?

We are committed to ensure that your transactions are smooth and seamless. However the following reasons may cause your transactions to be declined.

  • Inactive card
  • Insufficient available balance
  • Expired card
  • Incorrect card details entered during e-com transaction
  • Invalid PIN
  • Invalid CVV
  • Exceeding daily limits set by issuer
  • Exhausting the velocity limit set for the day

Can I use Unimoni Multi Currency Card to pre-authorize my hotel or car hire?

Yes, our multicurrency card can be used as a guarantee of payment for hotels, car rentals, cruises, etc. The estimated amount (calculated by the hotels, car rentals, cruises etc.,) will become temporarily unavailable to access or spend on your multicurrency card.

Can I get a refund from Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

Please fill the RRF (Refund Request Form) and submit it either at any of our branches or forward the same through email to Upon receiving the signed RRF we will initiate the refund process.

How can I place a card cancellation request?

You can place a card cancellation request at any of our conveniently located 350 plus Unimoni branches in India. However, before cancellation, you need to zero out any available balance on the card by placing a refund request.


Can I re-apply for Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

In case you wish to apply for a new multicurrency card again in the future, you can do so by visiting any of our conveniently located 350 plus branches in India. You can collect the card over the counter at our branch & get it activated once you completed the formalities.

Where Can I apply for Unimoni Multi Currency Card replacement?

In case of Card is lost, stolen, damaged or counterfeited, the card can be replaced at nearest Unimoni Branch. You can do so by visiting any of our conveniently located 350 plus branches in India. You can collect the card over the counter at our branch & get it activated.

What are the card limits for load/reload?

The maximum amount loaded on the card shall be in compliance with the limit prescribed under the FEMA and all other applicable laws, rules and regulations in force from time to time.

What are the list of countries where I cannot use my Unimoni Multi Currency Card?

As it is a foreign currency card, as per regulatory requirement, you will not be able to use this card in India.  Other than India, you can also not use this card in Nepal, Bhutan.  In addition, you cannot use the card in the countries that are subject to economic sanctions by the schemes or local regulators.
