Our History

Wizzmoni Financial Services Ltd (Formerly Unimoni Financial Services Ltd), began its services in India in 1991 and is currently headed by CA. Krishnan R, who is the Director & CEO of the company. In 1995, the company was incorporated as a Public Limited Company. In 1999, Wizzmoni initiated its operations, opening the first branch in Bangalore. Later, the company got Inward Money Transfer license and opened various branches at different locations in India. In 2006, Wizzmoni got AD II license from RBI, becoming the first FFMC in India to accomplish the same. In addition, 3 years later, in 2009, Wizzmoni was licensed to operate a Pre-paid card/Wallet, from RBI. In the next year, Wizzmoni took a great leap forward by launching India’s unique mobile payment service system - Unimoni Wallet App (previously XPay) in India, which was a significant milestone. In 2021, payments were commenced through the Mobile App, and Wizzmoni got another essential license for ‘Domestic Money Transfer’.

The year 2016 was remarkable in the history of Wizzmoni, as it joined hands with UIDAI for online e-KYC. The company also tied up with Inward and Outward Money Transfer Companies, namely Moneygram International Inc, Western Union Financial Services, IME Forex India Private Ltd, Muthoot Finserve USA Inc, Instant cash Global Money Transfer, Transfast Inc, Ria Money Transfer, Airtel Payments Bank, and Prabhu Money Transfer Private Ltd. Major leaps happened in the travel business to move into online B2C Air ticket & hotel booking facilities. 2018 was yet another turning point for the company as it's significant focus came into its Gold Loans and payments business.
